Edward began playing the violin at the age of five and was awarded a place at Chetham’s School of Music at just eight years old, where he studied with Catherine Perkins and Dierdre Ward. He later continued his training at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Benedict Holland, performing a wide variety of repertoire including Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto at Manchester Cathedral, Schulhoff’s Violin sonatas, and Glazunov’s Violin Concerto.
As an orchestral musician, Edward has performed with the Northern Chamber Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Manchester Collective, and the Michael Haydn Orchestra. He is currently a member of the North East Wales Orchestra and the newly formed City of Stoke Symphony Orchestra. Throughout this time, he has had the privilege of working under the baton of esteemed conductors such as Paul McCreesh, Franz Anton Krager, and Paul Mann.
